As directed by the teacher carry out specific educational plans. Maintains cleanliness of classroom. Helps prepare instructional materials. Understands and implements each students Individual Educational Plan (IEP). Assists with activities of daily living, including meals and toileting. Supervises students at all times.
Basic Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Valid driver’s license (MA, CT, or NY State). Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time. Prefer, experience working with a Special Needs population. Must meet program requirements for background checks (Acceptable CORI - Criminal Offender Record Information and OIG).
